It picks up sound remarkably well and sounds almost as good as my Behringer B1 studio condenser and much better than my cheap generic M-Audio versions of what would otherwise be SM-58s. Here’s a sample I recorded with it tonight.

Note: The background noise in this is from my air conditioner. It really is that loud so that’s not the H4n’s fault.
